Eunice Apio elected as member of the Ugandan Parliament representing Oyam North

Congratulations to CHIBOW partner Dr Eunice Otuku Apio, who was elected into the Ugandan national parliament for Oyam North as flagbearer for the UPC. The seat had fallen vacant following the death of Col. Charles Engola.

Eunice has not only been a ground-breaking researcher on issues relating to children born in captivity in East Africa, but she has also been a tireless advocate on behalf of children born of war worldwide. We look forward to seeing this work continuing in her new role among the Ugandan lawmakers.
